An erect grey-green perennial rush growing to a height of 2m.


origin	NSW, Qld, NT.
cultural notes	Naturally occurs in swamps and in the shallows of lakes and lagoons. Requires consistant water and full sun. Will grow in the damp soil at the edge of water bodies or in water as deep as 1.5m.
maintenance	Cut back at the end of Winter to encourage new growth.
tolerates	Innundation, acidic water, low nutrient soils.
flowering season	Spring and Summer.
flower colour	Brown nut-like flowers.
foliage colour	Foliage is grey-green, erect and hollowly cylindrical.
width	up to 0.5m
height	up to 2m
water depth	aquatic greater than 1m
plant spacing	30cm apart
recommended uses	An attractive plant around pond or water features, can be grown in submerged pots. Useful for urban run off management due to its acid tolerance.
