Eucalyptus mannifera 'Little Spotty'

A smaller variety of Eucalyptus mannifera, growing to 8m in height, with more pronounced mottling on the bark. Grey-green foliage and small white flowers in Summer and Autumn.

cultural notes	Adaptable to most soils provided they are free draining. Prefers an open sunny position.
maintenance	As the common name brittlegum suggests, the wood is quite brittle and this species will occassionally drop branches.
tolerates	Tolerant of frost, drought and poor soils.
flowering season	Summer and Autumn although flowering season can differ depending on the climate.
flower colour	Clusters of small white flowers from green club-shaped buds. The fruit are dark brown, three valved capsules.
foliage colour	Grey-green lanceolate leaves, prominantly veined, to 12cm in length.
width	up to 4m
height	up to 8m
plant spacing	200cm apart
recommended uses	An attractive tree whose smaller size makes it ideal for smaller to gardens. Very hardy. Care must be taken as to its placement due to its tendency to drop branches unpredictably. Bee attractant.
