Eucalyptus baureana

blue box

A medium sixed tree growing to a height of 30m and spreading 15m. Rough greyish bark and ovate leaves to 9cm in length and 6cm in width. The leaves are quite rounded which gives the tree a dense crown.


origin	NSW, Vic.
cultural notes	Prefers well drained moist soils in a sunny position.
tolerates	Frost and drought tolerant.
flowering season	Spring and Summer.
flower colour	Flower buds are yellow and club shaped, followed by profuse white flowers occuring in clusters. Fruit are green conical capsules.
foliage colour	Leaves are blue-grey to pale green, and ovate in shape. They are prominantly midveined with slight undulations at the margins.
width	up to 15m
height	up to 30m
plant spacing	500cm apart
recommended uses	An excellent shade tree for larger gardens.
