Perennial rush forming dense tufts. Distinguishable by prominent longitudinally ribbed bluish stems.


origin	All states of Australia except Tasmania.
cultural notes	Inhabits grassy wetlands. Requires moist heavy soils, but will tolerate dry periods during summer. Will grow in full sun or part shade.
maintenance	Remove spent flower stems.
tolerates	Frost, innundation.

flower colour	Pale coloured cylindrical spikelets to 2cm in length.
foliage colour	Pale green to blue, with prominent longitudinal ribs.
width	up to 0.2m
height	up to 0.5m
water depth	edges and marshland
plant spacing	10cm apart
