Winged stemmed daisy

A hardy perennial with silvery green clumped foliage and abundant yellow and white flowers displayed prominantly in summer. The flower stems have a distinctive winged shape.


origin	NSW, Qld Tas, SA.
cultural notes	A hardy plant, tolerant of most soils, requires full sun.
maintenance	After flowering the flower stems die back and can be unattractive. These should be removed.
tolerates	Frost tolerant. Tolerant of dry conditions and poor soils.
flowering season	Summer.
flower colour	Yellow, surrounded by papery white bracts. Displayed on long branched stems held above the foliage.
foliage colour	Leaves are silver-green and form a clump.
width	up to 0.5m
height	up to 1m
plant spacing	50cm apart
recommended uses	Can be used in garden beds for foliage colour and prominent flowers in summer. The flowers and floiage is sometimes used in cut flower arrangements.
